For Brilliant Results

Getting great results from your dishwasher is easy if you follow a few guidelines. To get the best results from your dishwasher consider the following:

WATER TEMPERATURE

WATER TEMPERATURE

For sparkling clean dishes your dishwasher needs hot water – 140ºF. Water at this temperature not only helps dissolve food stains, it actually will disinfect your dishes. Check the water temperature in your house using a glass of hot water from your kitchen sink and a meat thermometer. If your water is less than 140ºF, consult your hot water heater's user manual or a service professional to adjust its settings.

BEFORE YOU LOAD THE DISHWASHER

BEFORE YOU LOAD THE DISHWASHER

Today's dishwashers need very little pre-washing to produce sparkling results, but they do have limitations. Before you place anything in the dishwasher, remove large food particles such as bones, seeds, and toothpicks. Tough baked on food stains may be pre-soaked in warm water with a small amount of detergent until stains are loosened.

PROPER LOADING

AVOIDING WET DISHES WHEN THE CYCLE IS DONE

Sometimes dishes will come out of the dishwasher wet, particularly plastic items, and you'll need to towel-dry them. This can happen even if you use the drying cycle. To ensure your dishes come out of the dishwasher dry and ready to be put away - even your plastic items, be sure to use FINISH® JET-DRY® Turbo Dry®.
