Why should I use an automatic dishwashing detergent such as FINISH® in my dishwasher?

Your detergent needs to complement the cleansing action of your dishwasher. Automatic dishwashing detergent is specially formulated to disperse food residue and greasy soiling, hold it in suspension and remove it in the final rinse. It does all this producing little or no suds.

How do I use FINISH® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent products?
All in 1 FINISH® POWERBALL® TABS AND DUAL ACTION TABS:
  • Unwrap one tablet from its protective wrapper.
  • Place the unwrapped tablet in the main dishwasher detergent dispenser and close. Use one fully dissolving tablet per wash load.
  • Run dishwasher. Optimal water temperature is 125° – 140° F.
All in 1 FINISH® GELPACS® :
  • Please do NOT cut open the GELPAC®
  • Place one GELPAC® in the main dishwasher detergent dispenser and close. Each GELPAC® is pre-measured so you need just one.
  • Run dishwasher. Gel releases on contact with the water. Optimal water temperature is 140° F.
FINISH ADVANCED™ POWDER AND GEL:
  • Fill all dishwasher detergent dispensers completely. For heavily soiled dishes or hard water, use slightly more detergent. Use less detergent for very soft water.
  • Run dishwasher. Optimal water temperature is 140° F.
How do I use FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent?

1. Check whether your dishwasher has a built-in liquid rinse agent dispenser, usually located near the detergent cup(s).

2. Fill your rinse agent dispenser with FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent. Wipe up any spilled product.

3. FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent is automatically released in the rinse cycle every time your dishwasher runs.

Note: If your dishwasher does not have a built-in rinse agent dispenser. Use the FINISH® JET-DRY® Solid Rinse Agent which clips to the top rack of your dishwasher for sparkling clean results with every wash.

How does FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent work?

Spots and film form in your dishwasher's rinse cycle, when detergents are already down the drain. FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent works in the rinse cycle, lowering the surface tension of water and causing it to sheet. Better rinsing results in less spots and film.

How do I use FINISH® JET-DRY® TURBO DRY™ ?

1. Check whether your dishwasher has a built-in liquid rinse agent dispenser, usually located near the detergent cup(s).

2. Fill your rinse agent dispenser with [FINISH® JET-DRY® TURBO DRY™. Wipe up any spilled product.

3. FINISH® JET-DRY® TURBO DRY™ is automatically released every time your dishwasher runs.

4. Discard your old dish towel. With FINISH® JET-DRY® TURBO DRY™, the dishes are done!

How do I use FINISH® JET-DRY® Dishwasher Cleaner?

1. DO NOT REMOVE CAP. Remove sticker from top of bottle.

2. Make sure your dishwasher is empty.

3. Place the bottle upside down inside the silverware basket or in a secure position.

4. Do not use any soap or dishwasher detergent.

5. Close dishwasher door, then set dishwasher to heavy wash (pots & pans, sani, etc) cycle. Start dishwasher.

6. After full cycle is complete and dishwasher is off, remove bottle and discard.

7. For heavy build up a 2nd application may be necessary. For best results, use once a month.

How do I use GLASS MAGIC® Performance Booster?

1. Pour 1/4 cup (4 tbsp) of GLASS MAGIC® into the bottom of your dishwasher.

2. Fill the dishwasher detergent dispenser with your favorite detergent and run through a normal wash cycle.

3. For optimal results, fill your liquid rinse agent dispenser with JET-DRY® Rinse Agent for spot removal during the rinse cycle.

Note: If glasses are heavily filmed or spotted, wash using 1/2 cup (8 tbsp) of GLASS MAGIC® for several loads or until glasses are crystal clear.

How should I store my dishwashing detergent?

Your dishwashing detergent should be stored in a dry environment. If you are using powders, be careful to close the spout after each use to help keep the product dry (and to avoid spills!). Like all cleaning products, store your detergent out of the reach of children.

Do I need to rinse my dishes before loading them into the dishwasher?

It isn't necessary to rinse your dishes, just remove excess foods such as bones and pits.

The FINISH® Tabs container says to put the tab/pac in the main detergent compartment. My dishwasher has two such compartments. Which is the main one?

The FINISH® tab/pac goes in the compartment with the cover.

Why won't my dishes dry?
  • Make sure that your dishwasher is loaded properly. Ensure you have enough FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent for each wash. Try FINISH® JET-DRY® TURBO DRY™ for amazingly dry dishes.
  • Rinse agent dosage may be too low; Adjust the setting for the rinse aid dosage.
  • The dish may have been removed too early from the dishwasher (cycle was not finished completely).
Is this product biodegradable?

Yes, this product is biodegradable.

Are FINISH® Automatic Dishwashing products safe for septic systems?
