Why Dishwasher Cleaners Matter
Dishwashers wash 8,000 dirty items a year on average. That’s a lot of greasy sludge, fat and limescale passing through your machine.
The cleaning appliances of the modern home are often neglected in terms of maintenance and upkeep, with owners prompted to clean only when they stop working or performance drops. There is a common misconception that because an appliance was built to clean, that somehow it cleans itself. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Problems That Can Occur from Not Using Dishwasher Cleaner
It’s perfectly fine to get your dishwasher to do all the heavy duty labor that is washing up, but it’s equally important to look after your machine as much as it looks after you.
There are a few identifiers that tell you your dishwasher is in need of a clean. These include:
- An Unpleasant Odour
By using your dishwasher on a regular basis, over time there can be a build-up of grease and grime in parts of the machine that you can’t see. This can ultimately cause your machine to have an odour in the long run.
If you live in a location with hard water, you may be more likely to experience limescale build-up in your machine which can affect its performance. Finish Hard Water Detergent Booster can help soften the water to not only boost your detergent’s performance, but it also helps to prevent spots and watermarks on your dishes.
- Dishes Coming Out Dirty
Over time, grease and excess food particles can build up in parts of the machine that you cannot see, but just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they aren’t there. These hidden build-ups can reduce the water flow within your machine, and unless you find a solution to clean the unseen areas, you’re effectively expecting a dirty dishwasher to make your dishes clean.
